Learn the expressions
Attach -(으)러 to an action stem and follow it with 가요 to state the purpose of going. Mark the destination with 에.

| 먹다 | 먹으러 | 식당에 김밥을 먹으러 가요. |
| 읽다 | 읽으러 | 도서관에 책을 읽으러 가요. |
| 사다 | 사러 | 가게에 펜을 사러 가요. |
| 만들다 | 만들러 | 김밥을 만들러 가요. |
Use 러 after a vowel or final ㄹ; otherwise use 으러. 공부하러 가요 states the purpose, not that the study has already finished.
