How to make the sound
Try each sound briefly. These are starting cues, not an automatic pronunciation judgement.
야 · 여 · 요 · 유
Start with a brief y-like glide into the vowel. Keep 야 in one block of sound, rather than stretching it into 이아.
Listen and read
First listen to 야, 여, 요 and 유 while looking at the cards. Then compare 아/야, 어/여, 오/요 and 우/유 one pair at a time.
