Object: noun with a final consonant밥을 먹어요. / 책을 읽어요. / 물을 마셔요.
Object: noun without a final consonant한국어를 공부해요.

물 ends in ㄹ, so use 물을. 한국어 has no final consonant, so use 한국어를. 일해요 does not need a separate object here.
