그 이야기는 하지 않고 싶어요 expresses that you prefer not to discuss that topic. 지금은 말하기 어려워요 emphasizes the present. “Now” does not promise a future answer.

하고 싶지 않아요 can also express not wanting to do something. Our target is 하지 않고 싶어요, while natural alternatives are allowed. A brief boundary need not be followed by a long explanation.

Explaining reasons and stating a boundary are separate.
- 아무 경계도 말하지 않은 셈이에요. — A short sentence can state a boundary.
- 거짓말이라고 확정할 수 있어요. — There is no basis to call it a lie.
6. Which alternative is close in meaning to 하지 않고 싶어요?
Answer: 하고 싶지 않아요.
It can express not wanting to do something.
- 꼭 하고 싶어요. — That expresses a positive wish, the opposite.
- 할 수 있어서 기뻐요. — That states ability and pleasure, not a boundary.
